Attending any social event, whether it be for the holidays, a wedding or just a social at home, can cause you to panic. At times like this, there never seems to be anything suitable in your closet to wear. Each event might need a different wardrobe, but on the other hand, they can be panic-inducing. It seems like there's never anything appropriate in your closet to wear to the many different events you'll be attending.

Cocktail Party

Attend a cocktail party wearing something a cocktail dress that is bit sexy showing a little skin. Perhaps a strapless form fitting dress without a belt, showing off the figure you worked so hard to get at the gym. Add a simple necklace, and matching hanging earrings and you will fit right into the spirit of the event.

Informal Event with Friends

Meet with friends for an informal get together is easy, and you can search the closet now for your favorite jeans, clean and pressed of course, a stretch button down, with a bit of neck skin showing will be suitable. Make it look like a new store bought outfit, by adding earrings, and a scarf around the neck, heels on your feet, and you will be dressed for fun and comfort.

Formal Event

Know that wearing floor length gowns at a formal affair is not always necessary these days, as short above the knees ensembles are also acceptable. Wear colors that you look best in, and dress up a simple dress with accessories, but do not over do it.

Office Party

Attend your office party, but do not overdo the outfit. With office colleagues, it is better to button up, than down. Wear a flattering wrap dress, worn with boots a little bit extra makeup, and enjoy the party. This is not a place for flirting, remember, you have to work with these people the next day, so limit your drinks to soft drinks and have fun.

Don't be too simple or too flashy. No matter what the occasion, always dress so you feel comfortable. No one can have fun in a too short dress, or too tight one. Dress for comfort first and the occasion next.A plain dress can always be dressed up with accessories, but a too gaudy dress can never be dressed down.

Do not show too much cleavage at an office party, drink very little so that you know what you are saying and doing all the time. Unlike other social events where you may never see them again, you have to work with these people so behave yourself.
