Are You Obsessed With Revenge

Many of us have dreamt of wielding revenge on someone who's wronged us—an ex, our boss, an irritating neighbor. But in real life, retribution isn't always all it's cracked up to be. In fact, letting go of revenge fantasies may be one of the best things you can do for your health.

For certain people—especially some men—revenge can be all-consuming. A University College of London study found that men not only expressed more desire for retribution than women; they also derived more satisfaction from it.

Could you be preoccupied with payback? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you probably are.

•You find out that one of your friends has been talking about you behind your back. Would you start spreading rumors about them?
•Your mate breaks up with you. Would you rub poison ivy on the clothes they left at your place before returning them?
•You get passed over for a promotion. Would you try to sabotage the person who got the position you wanted?
•Your neighbor’s dog barks all night, keeping you awake. Would you pour weed killer all over their lawn?
