My meal fro Lunch

This what I have for lunch today, with rice of course. This is made from philippines, it is called fork Longganisa, since I haven't have philippine for a while, I thought about cooking it today,I like it with rice.

I don't feel like cooking any large amount of food today, since I haven't been feeling good. I got the chill and body ache, I knew that I am coming down with something and I hope it is not that nasty deadly virus going around.

Mommy Moment: Chore Time

mommy moments

The entry for this week mommy moments is about chore. I don't have any recent picture of my kids doing chore but while doing my photo hunt I found this old picture of my son justin at our old home. This was when he was 2 years old wanting to do dishes, so I let him.

My kids have chore everyday, before playing. I think it is important that each parent have to teach their kids to be responsible in many ways so that when they grow up they will know how to do house chore.

Black Friday

The biggest shopping day of the year! To self-proclaimed "shopaholics", this day is an early Christmas, the day we look forward to all year. The day where everything is on sale. Oh, Happy Day!

The point is if you are planing on going out on this mad day in hopes of finding most of your Christmas gifts, there are some pointers I can give you.

Make a list of all the people you are planning on buying gifts for – It is important to know how many items you need to buy. This way you can better budget your money and have an ideal of what you are planning to spend. Round up all the sale papers generated for this day – Know what is on sale, who is selling it, and during what period those items are on sale. Some stores have the sale going on all day, but some only for a few hours. It is good to know what stores you need to hit first.

Decide who is getting what – On your list of ‘gift-receivers’, mark down the item you would like for that person instead of making a list of items to buy. This way, you can keep track of who gets what, but also, it is a way of double checking that you purchased a gift for everyone you wanted to. This will alleviate most of that last minute gift buying. Plan for alternates – Items go quickly on this day, especially popular ones. There is a chance that you won’t be able to find that ‘Tickle Me Elmo’. Find alternate, and less popular, gifts for everyone on your list. Double check your list once more –Go over the list again just to make sure that you have everyone covered. Place your list either in your purse, wallet, coat pocket, or wherever you know that you will remember it and get to it quickly while out shopping.

Do Not Sleep In - The early bird definitely gets the worm on this day. Most people are up and out of the house before dawn. Most stores are opening up especially early. Don't think you can sleep until 11:00 and still be able to find those Manolos for 50%. They will be gone before the 7 0'clock hour. Check out the newspapers or online to check out the best deals and the opening times of stores. Have You Game Face On - You can't be a wuss and think that you have a fighting chance amongst the bargain shoppers on this day. People will elbow, kick, pinch, anything it takes to get that last Tickle Me Elmo. Be aggressive. When you see an item you want, keep a tight hold on it. Do Not Leave Your Basket Unattended - I have had several items disappear out of my shopping basket when I've turned around to get another item. It will happen, Folks. People aren't generally nice on this day.

Have Your Lists Ready - Make out your gift list before going to the store. Most stores would have put out a sales paper in the Sunday paper. Decide what you want to get the night before and make a list. Know what you want before entering the store. There is no time when you get there to try and make up your mind. By time you do, everything will be gone. Do Not Stop To Socialize - So, you see someone in the store that you haven't seen since high school. I know it is great to see them and you want to brag about how great your life is now that you got the braces off and lost twenty pounds. Suffice to say, now isn't the time to do that. You have a job to do, and things to buy. Stop quickly and get the phone number; save it for after the sales. Avoid The Layaway Lines - If you can, try to avoid the layaway lines. You will find yourself in one the entire day and miss out all the good stuff in other stores. Plus, I've heard more than a few horror stories where items were missing or hard to find when time came to pickup your layaway order. If it can't be avoided this shopping season, this is something to keep in mind for next year. Try to save a little a month just for this day.

Avoid Gaining Weight over Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving doesn't mean unavoidable weight gain! Put in some planning time, learn to re frame your attitude towards the Thanksgiving foods themselves, and you're headed for more Holiday enjoyment and less Holiday overloading.

Volunteer to host the Thanksgiving festivities. You'll be in charge of the menu, and can plan from the start what foods will be on the table. Pick natural, unprocessed foods, prepared simply but tastily with herbs, spices, and fruits such as lemon and orange. There are many websites and online recipe sites that give detailed "clean eating" menus and recipes. Bring along one or two dishes that meet your dietary requirements, if you have to go elsewhere. Then you can eat the turkey, and those dishes alone, if everything else turns out to be grossly fattening and gloppy. Timing is everything: Eat the main meal at 1-2 PM! Urge that schedule if you can influence the time set for the meal. That way, no appetizers are needed at all, as you are sitting down to eat early. Also, the earlier start time gives you time for digestion (key to feeling good the next day) and for more activity in your day after the meal is finished. If you are active after the meal, it will help you manage physically and feel much better. Grandma was right, have the beautiful meal on the table at 1 or 2! (It works better for the cook/table setter/clean up persons too -- then you aren't too exhausted to enjoy yourself!)

Put a couple hours in between the meal and the dessert (during which time you can move around and be active!). Nothing beats the Holiday peacefulness of everyone happily fed, the kitchen is dealt with, and you can relax with your family and a nice piece of homemade pumpkin pie around 5 o'clock ...Norman Rockwell couldn't draw it any better. Be aware of how to serve yourself and eat the meal. Take tablespoon-size servings of only the various dishes you really want. Leave behind anything you feel lukewarm about! Take bites of what you like the very best, first. Sip the wine (or water, or whatever) in between. Think small amounts, and be mindful of not being greedy and pigging out. Slow down, enjoy and be thankful for each bite, truly savoring the wonderful tastes. When you are full (which comes sooner than you think, if you will pay attention), simply stop. Turn your mind and heart to true thankfulness. Thank God for all the abundance and love around the table. The food is not the key thing, and the food is not going to run away! There will be leftovers for later, or tomorrow. Sit back and visit, or be the person to initiate a "What I am thankful for this year" conversation. Keep your focus, and eat what you really enjoy, and then stop. (If food issues are really a problem for you, consult Over eater's Anonymous or the Weigh Down Workshop, for invaluable help in attaining peace with food).

Avoid hitting the couch right after the meal. Find an activity outlet afterward. Crank up 70's disco hits and dance while helping clean up the meal and kitchen (silly is good). Take a long walk with family and friends to enjoy town and/or enjoy the fall color. Play tag outside with the kids. You get the idea! Just get moving afterward. Don't fall prey to "now or never" thinking. You're allowed to roast a turkey or turkey breast, make a pumpkin pie, or recreate Aunt Sue's special stuffing in July, if you want to! Ditch the "one time only" availability theory, which causes gobbling of Thanksgiving foods. This mindset and focus will make turning down extra Holiday servings a lot easier. Maybe this is your Holiday season to declare a complete alcohol hiatus, and say "enough" to all the extra drinking at the Holidays. Go strictly with water, soda with lime, or a cup of mint tea! You absolutely will feel so much better, be more present, and survive the season with less weight left on your booty and more tread left on your tires. If you do imbibe, try alternating each alcoholic drink with a "hydration cycle" of some kind - water with lemon, diet soda, Perrier, etc.

Remember Thanksgiving Day is just one day! If you blow it, get right back up on the horse and ride. It's making excuses and rationalizations every single day afterward, in the 40+ days between Thanksgiving and New Year's, that will cause you to gain the typical 3-7 Holiday pounds. If you are already overweight, be very diligent with finishing meals when just politely full, choosing clean foods, and daily movement/exercise over the Holidays. Those already overweight are more likely to gain weight than thin people through the Holiday season! Above all, do not let yourself just say "what the heck, it's Thanksgiving (or December, Christmas, or New Year's)" and run wild, stuffing your face with any old food that comes your way. Be picky and really enjoy what you decide to eat!

Have a light heart, and enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving and Holiday Season!

Mojito

To make it clear I don't drink, only if I want to try something that I never had before. I had try red wine, margarita, strawberry daquiri. ( I am not sure if that is how you spell it but sound good). But Mojito is by far my favorite alcohol drink I ever had. A special friend got me to drink mojito when we went to a Sushi restaurant here in Seattle. I must say, since I do not drink, mojito kick my butt.

A mojito is traditionally made of five ingredients: spearmint, rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime, and carbonated water. Its combination of sweetness and refreshing citrus and spearmint flavors are intended to mask the potent kick of the rum, and have made this clear cocktail a popular summer drink.

Ingredients:
Fresh mint (if you're going to be making them for a lot of people, get a lot of mint. This is the foundation for the mojito)
Limes (one for each drink)
Clear rum (Havana Club 3 yr is the Cuban rum of choice for the drink, but if you cannot get it then Bacardi Superior Light, Captain Morgan's Silver Edition or Oronoco are good substitutes, a golden rum such as Mount Gay or Flor de Cana is a great way to serve as top shelf. Cubans are also very much fond of using Matusalem for mojitos.) Club Soda. Pure granulated sugar, simple syrup (sugar/water mixture - see below), or guarapo (sugar cane juice), you can use mascabado sugar too, but it'll turn the drink a bit darker, thus affecting the presentation.

Start by making some simple syrup. To do this, put equal parts sugar and water into a pot and cook it on high (stirring the whole time) until it dissolves together(you do not want it boiling!). You can also use granulated sugar but just make sure that it is well dissolved before serving. There is nothing worse than a crunchy mojito! Alternatively, forego the simple syrup and use guarapo (sugar cane juice) instead for a more natural and less sweet flavor. Make sure you have a good muddler, a sturdy glass and a shaking tin for muddling and mixing the drink. The cocktail's success depends on the blending of the lime and mint flavors.Purchase a good light rum. You will also need fresh limes, mint, soda water and sugar. Brown sugar or simple syrup can be substituted for refined sugar. Cut the limes into quarters and pick the mint leaves off of the stems. For eight mojitos you will need a generous bowl of mint and eight limes-one per drink. Muddle a generous pinch of mint and about three lime wedges in the bottom of a tall mojito glass, cocktail shaker, or a mixing receptacle. If using granulated sugar, also muddle the sugar with the mint and lime to extract the lime's essential oils. When the ingredients are well pulverized, add ice to fill the glass.

Add 2 Tablespoons of your simple syrup-this is equivalent to 1 oz. Fill the glass with about 2 ounces of rum-with the ice, the glass should appear about 3/4 of the way full.Shake or stir the mixture until fully blended. Fill the remainder of the pint glass with soda water. Another option is to transfer the shaken cocktail to another glass to serve since the muddled lime and mint often stick in the bottom of the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge, a mint sprig, a sugar cane swizzle stick, or all three

Meaning in Life

Why am I Here? What is the meaning of life? What should I do with my life? These are questions that everyone asks themselves at one time or another, but the answers are often fleeting or misguided.

Find out how inquisitive and trusting you are. Many people find religious belief systems more than adequate to fill their lives with meaning. Being a "True Believer", however, will only result in giving up your identity for the identity of the collective. Conflicts and mid-life crisis inevitably arise when the adopted concept of self conflicts with the true self. If you are inquisitive and trusting of your own intelligence, the first step is to find your true self. Self revelation is not for the squeamish. Take the time to let go of societal and personal preconceptions, letting your identity emerge without construct. Let go of language. The universe was here before Humans and certainly before language, and requires no pedantic explanation. Words are not things or actions. They are vibrations of the air molecules or squiggles on a page. Mistaking words for reality is the mistake that puts politicians in office and sells all of the products, religions, and systems of government on the planet. Saying "Tree" is no more a tree than saying "I love you" means that someone loves you. To perceive reality as it is, one must accept that words are a vehicle for the transference of our perception of reality, not reality itself. To bring meaning to your life, you must be able to perceive it without language. The frailty of language will undermine your search. Seek without purpose. The universe will unfold and become clear when you seek knowledge without prejudice. Knowledge is not a destination, but a journey. Human knowledge is also imperfect. But don't despair, we know enough to come to firm conclusions. A 'fact' can only mean 'confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional assent.' I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms. Work with what you can know, not what you can imagine.

Know that the universe is under no obligation to conform to your expectations. It is what it is whether or not you exist. Know that your life in civilization is a construct, not a law of nature. Our lives and the way we live them are human constructs of what we think is the best way to live. It is littered with over 6000 years of myth, superstition, and dogma. Don't confuse the truth with the things you do to survive. Society doesn't, and very often won't make sense. Understanding yourself, the universe, and your place in society, it will be easy to find meaning because you will determine what is meaningful. You will be able to separate the noise of language and society from the true sound of yourself. Define for yourself what brings meaning to your existence. Your meaning will be different from everyone else. You will know your life is meaningful because you will not fear death, getting old,or the various travails all of us encounter. Your destiny, your reason for being here will be apparent every waking hour. Contentment and bliss will follow.

Meditation is a great exercise for seeing things clearly as long as you don't get caught up in the technique. Many people think they're meditating when all they're doing is performing a ritual. Watch what you put in your mind. Television, mass media, and modern music can be detrimental to the process of discovery. Initially, question everything. This will sharpen your intellectual and observational skills as well as irritating everyone closest to you. You will know your meaning of life is substantial when you can defend it to others. Open dialogue about the meaning of life is a valuable shortcut to the process.

Most people are comfortable with their world-view, and uncomfortable trying to justify it. Don't force your new meaning of life on others. It will only serve to place barriers between you and those around you. But don't be afraid to explain your meaning of life to others. Remember that many people in society today lack the capacity for free-thought, and still more lack the ability to think outside of the societal bubble that they may be living in. Your self-awareness could be viewed as strange or rebellious to some, don't share your views with everyone you meet.

Accept Mistakes and Learn from Them

Are you tired of being scolded all over again by your parents because of your grades, relationships, or other problems? Get your paper and pens out for some listing on what to do. These steps shouldn't be painful, but there are always obstacles to change.

Never lie. Lying may save you for now, but the truth always reveals itself sooner or later, getting you into more serious trouble. Note that "white lies" are still lies and can hurt as time goes by. Do not hide your feelings or problems from your parents. Parents are usually willing to speak about your feelings and help you solve any problems you may have. They only want to protect you. Don't feel intimidated because they're adults, after all, they've already been through most of what you're experiencing and came through okay. Accept your mistakes and promise yourself to do better next time. Don't cry over things like being busted by your girl/boyfriend or failing exams. What you should do is learn and adapt from it and start a new life the next day. Focus your attention on studies and work, thinking twice before doing anything else. Avoid excuses like, "Please dad/mom, I'm going through adolescence/puberty and need time for myself too!" or false promises like, "I'm sorry, I swear to do better than last time because....". Those are just annoying words.Make a list of your mistakes each week and try to change for the better. Be sure you're true to your words and try to change for the better.

Enlist trusted friends to give you advice, help you study, and give you positive feedback when you do well. Don't think you are foolish when you make mistakes. The way you treat with them proves you are intelligent or not. We cannot know what will happen in the future and what things are laying down on our paths. But to make mistakes is the only way to learn. Some people never make mistakes. This is because they do not dare to do anything different from others. So please believe in yourself even when you make mistakes. At least you dared to be yourself. There are some ways not to remake the mistakes others have done. For example, you may ask for advice from your parents or teachers, or you can publish your plan in your blog and share your ideas with other friends. They can give you some advice.

Never repeat mistakes for any reason. Do not dwell on past mistakes, learn from them instead. Never let comments from others about your mistakes depress you. Do your best to ignore destructive criticism. Appreciate help from others, especially from family members.Never disregard the first and best rule there is: do not lie. Watch out for getting careless and repeating your mistakes.

Recreate Your Life

Have you recently come to the abrupt realization that your life isn't anything close to what you wanted it to be? Whether it's spurred by a mid-life crisis, a near-death experience, a psychedelic epiphany, or a painful separation, here's how to change the direction that your life is heading.

Try to remember what you've always wanted. What did you dream about being and doing when you were a child? Or an invincible teenager? Or an idealistic college student? At many points in our lives, when we encounter obstacles, we tend to settle. What have you settled for? What did you give up on when you settled? Be honest with yourself. Pretending that your life is great when it's really not is only going to make things worse. Sure, you've got plenty to be grateful for, but there's nothing wrong with seeking more growth and fulfillment. Don't ever feel that by wanting more, you're forsaking what you already have. Write down your goals. Where do you want to be in 5 years? 10 years? What do you want to accomplish before you die? Make lists and time lines. Keep them close to you, and read them every day, preferably when you wake up. Consider making a big change. Switch careers, move to a different area, or end a relationship that's bringing you down. Stop your life from becoming one big routine. Expand your comfort zone. Do something that's completely out of character. Shave your head, wear a miniskirt, try karaoke, do a cartwheel barefoot on the grass, etc. Be spontaneous and daring. Even if it has nothing to do with your goals, stepping out of your comfort zone will help you get used to facing your fears, especially people's reactions when you do something they'd never expect you to do. Remember that it is your life to live. You should choose what is best for you.

The key is to stay focused on your dreams, no matter how far you may be from accomplishing them. If you don't remember what you want out of life, it's awfully easy to lose your way. Focus on what matters the most to you and pursue it unmistakably to the point of being able to grasp only a moment. It is better to have experience than not. Don't ever think "It's too late," or "I'm too old." It's never too late, and you can never be too old to find happiness. Read Maria Shriver's book "Just Who Will You Be?" Visualize yourself as being the way you want to be. See yourself being congratulated, or hugged for what you have done. Visualization is very powerful. If done often, it can work. You can provide yourself with an extra measure of motivation by using the Best Me Technique of self-hypnosis to pre-experience the rewards of a long-term goal, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for "will power." Don't hang out with people that bring you down no matter how close to you they are (family, old friends, etc).

Bringing Back Memories.

There are times when you just sitting back and doing nothing and things just pop out in your mind and start smiling? That was just happened to me! My life in Philippines when I was younger. I remember when my grandparents was still alive and I was like in elementary school. I used to visit my grandparents and stayed there over the weekend. My grandparents had wide farm, like never ending farm. They had to have a bunch of help to do the farming. Anywho, my Lolo and Lola had tons of animals, like chickens, ducks, goats, cows, carrabao. My Lolo was very masipag mag tanim ng mga gulay and fruit tress. That was why everytime we go and visit my grandparents, they always prepared fresh meat and fresh vege for dinner.

I remember my lolo and lola's backyard was full of fruit trees like kaymeto, ( I am not sure if that is how you spell it but anywho sound good to me LOL), buko, santol and avocado. I really was not into avocado, I thought it look like.....hmmm, I don't need to say it, if you know what I am thinking then that is it.

My Lolo was so streaked, if you go to his house you have to behave like a lady. My lola otherwise was the opposite... she was so lay back. My Lolo died when I was in elementary and my Lola died 10 years ago. It really hurt me when I Lola died, because I was not in Philippines when she passed away. And my family never told me that she died, until they buried here already. My lola and I were so closed, and I didn't understand why my family didn't told me that she had passed. The only thing that they can tell me was, they didn't tell me because they knew that it will really hurt me bad. It hurts until now I must admit but I do understand what my family were coming from. I wish at times, to turn back time. But I can't, all I can do is to hold on to the memories.

Sauna Oil Blend

If you enjoy taking a sauna on a regular basis, you will be well aware of the energizing and cleansing benefits. To assist the detoxing process encouraged by being in a sauna, it is helpful to use a sauna oil blend that can be thrown on the sauna coals along with the water. The aroma that will be emitted will heighten the enjoyment of time spent in the sauna.

Obtain one or more of the essential oils that are considered to be beneficial for use in a sauna. These include lavender, pine, grapefruit, eucalyptus, lime, rosemary, lemon and birch. Single method: If you are using just one essential oil, place 3 - 4 drops of your desired essential oil into the water bucket intended for the hot coals. It is now ready to be added to the sauna coals.

Blended method: If you are making a special blend that will release several essential oil scents at once, follow the suggested oils above and create a blend. One energizing and detoxing blend is:

* 3 drops pine
* 3 drops rosemary
* 4 drops lime
* 8 drops grapefruit
Experiment with your own blends using the suggested essential oils above, provided that you are confident with blending. If in doubt as to quantities, ask your oil supplier for advice or do research in a trusted aromatherapy manual. If you are unsure for any reason, stick with the single essential oil addition. With any blend, only add 3 - 4 drops of the resulting blend per bucket of water at a time. Sit back, relax and breathe deeply.

Eucalyptus is great for clearing the sinuses and the senses but beware its potency - it will release a very strong aroma, so take care to ask others in the sauna with you if this is all right. Use it by itself and sparingly - 1 - 2 drops per water bucket should be sufficient. Always use good quality oils. See your health food store specialist for advice.

It is generally recommended that you do not spend more than 20 minutes in a sauna at any one time. Pregnant women, those who are sick or convalescing and children should use caution when taking a sauna. Do not leave the essential oil bottles in the sauna room. This will quickly destroy the oil. Add the drops to the bucket before entering the sauna.

Improve Your Love Life by Improving Your Health

A lot of people say they'd like to have a super love life, but it all boils down to the question, "Are you willing to work for it?"

Consider your health. In a world where most people would choose a twinkie over an apple, you'll have to be the one who has the wisdom and willpower to choose the apple. In a world increasingly addicted to TV, you and your mate will have to come up with the willpower to go out on a nature walk or bicycle ride. Because you can't have a super love life unless you treat your body with the kind of love and respect that we're discussing. We're not talking about a six-week diet, we're considering a life-long program of better nutrition. We are not advocating a three-month exercise program here to take off two inches from the waist; we're pushing for regular exercise every day of our lives! Do some cardiovascular exercises. The Harvard School of Public Health reports that men who were physically inactive were 40 percent more likely to experience erectile dysfunction than men who exercised a half hour a day. A foundation of correct nutrition and regular exercise is necessary before we can begin to think about a super love life.

Eat to live and love. Most of us do not realize how foods affect our moods, feelings, energy level, and behavior. When we get down in the dumps, we don't automatically say, "Gosh, I must not have been eating right." On the other hand, when we're feeling on top of the world we don't stop to think, "I'd like to feel this good more often." We don't relate how we feel to what we've been eating, but foods, vitamins, and minerals can make all the difference in the world between a so-so love life and the kind of love life that makes you smile every time you think about it. Many people who think they have sex problems are actually victims of poor nutrition. They don't have sex problems. They have food problems. And food problems can be solved. De-stress and relax. The physical effects of long-term stress include colds, ulcers, asthma, heart attack, stroke, and chronic fatigue--all ailments that can erode your health and your love life. Couples can de-stress together at the end of the day in more romantic ways, such as enjoying a lathery bubble bath for two, complete with scented candles, and a mug of warm milk and honey. Or just watch a movie together!

The goals are to spend quality time together and put you on the path to total relaxation. It all takes effort to improve your love life. There is no substitute for balanced foods, and no shortcut to good health. But if you work at it, you can achieve a super love life. Many couples find that watching an adult film with their loved one can really enhance their love life. Some couples prefer love making guides or books to learn the proper techniques.

Cut out or cut down on the use of alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee. Avoid sugary foods and drinks and fried, fatty foods. Sugar interferes with the sex life and reduces its pleasure. But sometime the proper amount of sugar or say sweet things could bring some good mood. Cut back on milk and wheat products. Substitute herbal teas for coffee and regular teas, juices for commercial soft drinks.

Be Confident when You're Petite

Ever feel uncomfortable as a person on the shorter side? There are certain ways how to overcome that!

Wear high heels. It is amazing what a couple more inches will do for a person. Choose a haircut that compliments your face and frame. Long thick straight hair can end up making you look shorter, while short curly hair will often make a heavy petite person look larger. Don't slouch. Stand up straight and be confident. Wearing short (but not too short!) shorts and skirts will make your legs look longer. Exercise. Cardio-vascular exercise is wonderful for relieving stress and boosting self-confidence. Strength training or other weight-bearing exercise like walking will help a petite woman avoid osteoporosis as she ages. Remember, just because you are petite doesn't mean you can't be strong!

Remember, petite is cute. Don't fixate on your height. People are less apt to mention the issue if you don't bring attention to it. Practice using good posture and stand as if you are tall. Don't put yourself down. As long as you have confidence, people will notice and be impressed. If you have problems with pants, find a good tailor.

If you believe you are becoming overly fixated and sensitive about your height, it might be a sign of a more serious psychological disorder. Seek professional help.

Begin a Natural Skin Care Regime

Preparing your own organic skin care treatments using common items found right in your own kitchen or garden can be just as, or more effective as the ones you can buy and represent quite a cost savings.

Begin by taking an inventory of potential natural skin care ingredients available in your cupboards and refrigerator. The most common items include citrus fruits, dairy items, sugar, salt, vinegars, aspirin, eggs, honey, oatmeal, olive oil and tea bags. Decide on the natural skin care ingredients that best address your skin type and skin care issues. Oil skin types will want to focus on more astringent ingredients such as citrus and exfoliating salt or sugar scrubs while sensitive skin types will want to include more soothing items such as olive oil, dairy products and honey. Develop a natural skin care routine that incorporates a cleansing, scrub, toning, and moisturizing recipe using the natural ingredients best suited for your skin type. A normal skin type might use a sea salt scrub recipe followed by a lemon juice toner and olive oil based moisturizer. Start collecting natural skin care recipes and experiment with ingredients to determine which are best suited to address your skin care needs. Most skin types benefit from regular facial steams and a weekly facial treatment. Try whipping up a 10 minute enriching moisturizing facial mask from an egg, a packet of unflavored gelatin, a squeeze of lemon, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Its fun! Enjoy experimenting with the different items so that you can discover the ingredients and recipes that work the best for you. Many natural skin care recipes can be made ahead and will keep for several days when refrigerated. There a literally thousands of natural skin care recipes that can address a wide range of skin care issues from combating acne outbreaks to healing skin irritations. The more you explore recipes the greater the success you will have mixing up your own natural skin care treatments! An awesome deodorant consists of just essential oil diluted in water. If you are allergic to certain foods, don’t use them in a natural skin care recipe either!

Enjoy Life

Life is not enjoyable only when you've taken the wrong path and slowly lost confidence, or when you are no longer happy with yourself. If this sounds like your life, you need to fix it!

1. Learn to be positive! If you keep moaning about your life, other people will only notice the bad aspects of your character and categorize you as a person who is 'Boring' - or worse! Who wants to spend time with a wet blanket! Go to places where people are positive and support you with positive thoughts.
2. Be generous. A little generosity goes a long way. Give and people return the favor to you and you will be known as a generous person.
3. Make a list of all the things you want to do and do them! If you've always wanted to audition for theater, then go ahead and do it! This will help to reduce 'hanging around' and wishing. This even applies if you want to be an astronaut : you might not effectively become one, but becoming savvy in astrophysics and space will make you realize that you're capable of it.
4. Keep trying. One of the key things that you need to remember is to never be discouraged; failure is a part of life, and it happens naturally. If you are so disillusioned that you never want to try again, at least be comforted by the fact that you made an attempt.
5. Stop doing things that you do not enjoy. Make a list of the things that you are doing that you don't enjoy, and try to stop doing them. Naturally, this shouldn't mean that you should drop out of school if you don't like studying, but you might consider working for a new company if you are constantly stressed and pressured by your job. If it's not possible to stop, try to see the positive side of those things and find ways to make them entertaining. Nobody enjoys cleaning the kitchen fan or the toilet but if you do these chores with full awareness and make them into a meditation, you will be surprised how quiet your mind will become and how much happiness these chores will give you.
6. Find a hobby. You might take up collecting stamps or coins, or you might learn more about photography or art. You don't have to spend your entire life doing it; the whole purpose of the hobby is to vary your routine and do something worthwhile.
7. Singing is a wonderful way to make life more enjoyable. Try to pick up some of your favorite songs and learn the lyrics by heart. When you feel bored, sing those songs and you would feel much better. Singing karaoke, taking some singing lessons or listening to music would make your life more interesting.
8. Stop watching TV or at least limit the amount of time you spend in front of the idiot box. Watching TV is passive entertainment and enjoyment in life comes from trying and doing things yourself instead of watching other people do things. Watching people swim is not the same as swimming. Watching other people hike or climb a mountain is not the same as hiking or climbing mountains. This is pretty obvious but still many people prefer second hand experiences to living life to the full. The same goes for playing TV or computer games for hours on end. Go out and do something. You will feel healthier too.
9. Ask questions. It's not bad to ask questions. Ask as many as you can no matter what people say or the relevance of them. Don't doubt yourself because there's a good chance somebody else is wondering the same thing.
10. Enjoy feeling proud. If you're proud of something be it: an essay, a new deck you built, a promotion, or a song you composed hold on to it for dear life because there's nothing more important than your pride. Do not let anybody take it by demanding more.
11. Stay healthy. Make part of your life eating right and exercising because it helps keep the body running at the top of its game.
12. Be open to change. Changes in your job, friends, and the government. With practice you will be able to anticipate it.
13. list the items you want to keep. This will help you realize what you have and you are so lucky to have it

Ask others about how they spend their time. If you feel like doing something that they do, then join them! Don't be afraid to ask! Get organized. You'll feel more in control and happier.Don't think that you constantly disappoint people. Nothing can be further from the truth. If you're an adult don't preoccupy yourself with paydays and raises. Money alone cannot help you feel fulfilled. Don't be rude to anyone. Don't be rude to your teachers or complain in class. Names like: slacker, degenerate, delinquent, punk, underachiever, and lost cause are just words people use because they are confused by why you're soaring through life while they're sluggishly inching along. Ignore the labels.

Don't be fooled into thinking that drinking alcohol or taking drugs will make your life any more enjoyable than it is now. These only provide a brief and unhealthy means of enjoyment. Placing too much reliance on alcohol or drugs can lead to addiction, which will ultimately deconstruct your ability to enjoy life.

Live Life to the Fullest

Life is short. So, live it to the fullest! Enjoy all that it has to offer. Let's get started:
1. Seize each day. Live each day as if it's your last. Leave the past behind and do not anticipate the future. Be present to enjoy the moment.
2. Be adventurous. Explore, live on the edge a little and embrace new challenges. Visit new places with your loved ones. Take the road less traveled.

Think of life as beautiful.
3. Keep a journal. Record your accomplishments as well as your delights. Take time to reflect on what has been previously written. Be an inspiration to yourself and others.
4. Love yourself. Focus on your inner and outer beauty to see the same in others. Acceptance comes from within.
5. Love everyone. Love the ones who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Life is too precious to be wasted on waiting for love.
6. Accept everyone. Be kind and courteous. Enjoy the company of others. Acknowledge their goodness rather than the differences in their beliefs.
7. Find purpose in life. Be selfless in service to others. Begin with your neighbor. Do charitable service outside of your immediate community as well.
8. Be realistic. Set attainable goals according to your abilities and talents. Consider each effort to be an attainment. Achieve one step before the other towards stability and security.
9. Seek balance. Understand the night and day, back and forth, good and bad in all things. Focus on good thoughts and good things will happen.
10. Maintain control. Be responsible for your actions and inaction. Be true to yourself. Maintain a personal code in the situation at hand. Find common ground.
11. Listen to your heart and soul. Listen for advice, but be confident in making your own decision. Use your instinct.
12. Clear your mind. Rituals of yoga, meditation and tai chi will replenish and rejuvenate your soul to focus more clearly on serenity and happiness.
13. Be carefree. Desires, obsessions and possessions possess you. Free yourself of inhibitions. Make an active decision to have simple daily needs.
14. Laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. It releases endorphins and promotes longevity. Inner joy is beautiful!
15. Be flexible. Accept change as a positive thing in life. At times, go with the flow that is before you.
16. List a few daily goals. Meet a new friend, swim at the lake or walk in the park. Enhance your day and initiate fun!
17. Appreciate the little things. Take a walk around your community to experience the wonder in a way that you have never experienced it before.
18. Forgive yourself and others. Release your negative energy that holds you back, your past failures, embrace whatever life offers you.
19. Anticipate next day. Everyday is unique, like the blossoming clouds. It's never the same, but always beautiful.
20. Accept death. Pondering death brings appreciation to life. Take time to appreciate the expanse and beauty of your life and our earth. Let go peacefully.
21. Appreciate Environment. Take a break occasionally and go for a walk. Assume that you have come from another planet. Have fresh look at the clouds, the colours of sky at sunset and sunrise. Look at the plants, trees, leaves, flowers and how they swing when wind blows..! Look at water how it shakes and shape itself in the vessel its stored.. Look at numerous forms of life - in insects, animals, birds and human. This exercise will clear off the dead memories and monotony that kills the joy of living.

Be yourself. Disregard gossip, bias and judgmental attitudes. Life is too short to be living with regrets. Let go of your anger and lighten your emotion to prevent illness.

Simplify Your Life

Wish your life could run more smoothly? Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs. Life may never be hassle free, but it can be simplified.

Teach independence. Teach your children and partner to be more responsible for themselves. Free your time. Record your day. Log on a calendar or in a notebook. It takes the time and guess work out of trying to find or remember important information.

Learn to live with less.
* Have a small, but comfortable home.
* Renting enables you to be free to leave without incident.
* Decide upon the fewest versatile possessions.
* Less is more. Less time to earn and take care of things and more spare time to relax.

Have a versatile wardrobe.
* Choose a few basic essentials and styles.
* Mix and match two or three colors.
* Add different tops to black pants or blue jeans.
* You'll spend less time deciding what to wear.
Review the pros and cons. All possessions require a certain amount of your time.

* Children require care and direction throughout the day.
* Dogs may require more care and attention than cats.
* Acquiring bigger and better possessions require more time at work. Create a minimalist budget. Learn to manage your money regardless of your income. Save for the future.

* Pay cash. If you don't have the money, you won't spend it.
* Think before you buy. You may not really need it.
* Save receipts for six months to a year.
* Store receipts in a large envelope or shoe box.
* Keep important receipts with warrantees. Make it easy to find everything.

Keep receipts safe!Save for an emergency. One credit card and $1,000 should be sufficient for an unexpected car or home repair. Find a good physician. Be sure they listen carefully before treatment is prescribed. Request copies of your doctor visits and tests for review.
Your accurate history enables a physician to make a better decision.

At times, alternative treatments may be more beneficial. Maintain your health. Prevent further complications.Choose a healthy diet and exercise daily. Monitor your blood pressure and heart rate at home. Keep a record of comparison for your physician. Avoid smoking, alcohol, drugs and risky behavior.

Prepare quick meals. Find recipes that are quick to prepare. Spend the spare time enjoying the meal and your family. Be yourself. Don't try to be what others want you to be. It's stressful to be anyone other than yourself. Give and return. Some people take without giving in return. Don't try to please others by neglecting yourself. Use your instinct. Don't be easily led. If you feel there is something wrong, there probably is. Limit your worries. Make an active decision to spend less time worrying and more time having fun!Dream your dream. Then live it! Make them come true.

Family Room

Since every family member brings a little of himself to this room, it can often become a jumble of activities and stuff. Create storage for each activity, whether it's reading, playing games, watching TV, paying bills or playing with a pet.

Develop Zone: Be realistic about how everyone uses this room. Give each activity some space of its own. Such agreed-upon zones keep the activity enjoyable and clutter contained.

Control the extras: Entertainment items tend to take over the room. Keep only movies, games ,music and books that you use and that realistically fit on your shelves. Limit yourself to no morethan two issues of a magazine.

Space from thin chair: Create storage behind a couch, love seat or armchair. Pull furniture far enough from the wall to allow open crates or bins, as well as access to them. Furniture pieces such as lift-top ottoman are also ideal for storage strapped room.
