Be Confident when You're Petite

Ever feel uncomfortable as a person on the shorter side? There are certain ways how to overcome that!

Wear high heels. It is amazing what a couple more inches will do for a person. Choose a haircut that compliments your face and frame. Long thick straight hair can end up making you look shorter, while short curly hair will often make a heavy petite person look larger. Don't slouch. Stand up straight and be confident. Wearing short (but not too short!) shorts and skirts will make your legs look longer. Exercise. Cardio-vascular exercise is wonderful for relieving stress and boosting self-confidence. Strength training or other weight-bearing exercise like walking will help a petite woman avoid osteoporosis as she ages. Remember, just because you are petite doesn't mean you can't be strong!

Remember, petite is cute. Don't fixate on your height. People are less apt to mention the issue if you don't bring attention to it. Practice using good posture and stand as if you are tall. Don't put yourself down. As long as you have confidence, people will notice and be impressed. If you have problems with pants, find a good tailor.

If you believe you are becoming overly fixated and sensitive about your height, it might be a sign of a more serious psychological disorder. Seek professional help.

Begin a Natural Skin Care Regime

Preparing your own organic skin care treatments using common items found right in your own kitchen or garden can be just as, or more effective as the ones you can buy and represent quite a cost savings.

Begin by taking an inventory of potential natural skin care ingredients available in your cupboards and refrigerator. The most common items include citrus fruits, dairy items, sugar, salt, vinegars, aspirin, eggs, honey, oatmeal, olive oil and tea bags. Decide on the natural skin care ingredients that best address your skin type and skin care issues. Oil skin types will want to focus on more astringent ingredients such as citrus and exfoliating salt or sugar scrubs while sensitive skin types will want to include more soothing items such as olive oil, dairy products and honey. Develop a natural skin care routine that incorporates a cleansing, scrub, toning, and moisturizing recipe using the natural ingredients best suited for your skin type. A normal skin type might use a sea salt scrub recipe followed by a lemon juice toner and olive oil based moisturizer. Start collecting natural skin care recipes and experiment with ingredients to determine which are best suited to address your skin care needs. Most skin types benefit from regular facial steams and a weekly facial treatment. Try whipping up a 10 minute enriching moisturizing facial mask from an egg, a packet of unflavored gelatin, a squeeze of lemon, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Its fun! Enjoy experimenting with the different items so that you can discover the ingredients and recipes that work the best for you. Many natural skin care recipes can be made ahead and will keep for several days when refrigerated. There a literally thousands of natural skin care recipes that can address a wide range of skin care issues from combating acne outbreaks to healing skin irritations. The more you explore recipes the greater the success you will have mixing up your own natural skin care treatments! An awesome deodorant consists of just essential oil diluted in water. If you are allergic to certain foods, don’t use them in a natural skin care recipe either!

Enjoy Life

Life is not enjoyable only when you've taken the wrong path and slowly lost confidence, or when you are no longer happy with yourself. If this sounds like your life, you need to fix it!

1. Learn to be positive! If you keep moaning about your life, other people will only notice the bad aspects of your character and categorize you as a person who is 'Boring' - or worse! Who wants to spend time with a wet blanket! Go to places where people are positive and support you with positive thoughts.
2. Be generous. A little generosity goes a long way. Give and people return the favor to you and you will be known as a generous person.
3. Make a list of all the things you want to do and do them! If you've always wanted to audition for theater, then go ahead and do it! This will help to reduce 'hanging around' and wishing. This even applies if you want to be an astronaut : you might not effectively become one, but becoming savvy in astrophysics and space will make you realize that you're capable of it.
4. Keep trying. One of the key things that you need to remember is to never be discouraged; failure is a part of life, and it happens naturally. If you are so disillusioned that you never want to try again, at least be comforted by the fact that you made an attempt.
5. Stop doing things that you do not enjoy. Make a list of the things that you are doing that you don't enjoy, and try to stop doing them. Naturally, this shouldn't mean that you should drop out of school if you don't like studying, but you might consider working for a new company if you are constantly stressed and pressured by your job. If it's not possible to stop, try to see the positive side of those things and find ways to make them entertaining. Nobody enjoys cleaning the kitchen fan or the toilet but if you do these chores with full awareness and make them into a meditation, you will be surprised how quiet your mind will become and how much happiness these chores will give you.
6. Find a hobby. You might take up collecting stamps or coins, or you might learn more about photography or art. You don't have to spend your entire life doing it; the whole purpose of the hobby is to vary your routine and do something worthwhile.
7. Singing is a wonderful way to make life more enjoyable. Try to pick up some of your favorite songs and learn the lyrics by heart. When you feel bored, sing those songs and you would feel much better. Singing karaoke, taking some singing lessons or listening to music would make your life more interesting.
8. Stop watching TV or at least limit the amount of time you spend in front of the idiot box. Watching TV is passive entertainment and enjoyment in life comes from trying and doing things yourself instead of watching other people do things. Watching people swim is not the same as swimming. Watching other people hike or climb a mountain is not the same as hiking or climbing mountains. This is pretty obvious but still many people prefer second hand experiences to living life to the full. The same goes for playing TV or computer games for hours on end. Go out and do something. You will feel healthier too.
9. Ask questions. It's not bad to ask questions. Ask as many as you can no matter what people say or the relevance of them. Don't doubt yourself because there's a good chance somebody else is wondering the same thing.
10. Enjoy feeling proud. If you're proud of something be it: an essay, a new deck you built, a promotion, or a song you composed hold on to it for dear life because there's nothing more important than your pride. Do not let anybody take it by demanding more.
11. Stay healthy. Make part of your life eating right and exercising because it helps keep the body running at the top of its game.
12. Be open to change. Changes in your job, friends, and the government. With practice you will be able to anticipate it.
13. list the items you want to keep. This will help you realize what you have and you are so lucky to have it

Ask others about how they spend their time. If you feel like doing something that they do, then join them! Don't be afraid to ask! Get organized. You'll feel more in control and happier.Don't think that you constantly disappoint people. Nothing can be further from the truth. If you're an adult don't preoccupy yourself with paydays and raises. Money alone cannot help you feel fulfilled. Don't be rude to anyone. Don't be rude to your teachers or complain in class. Names like: slacker, degenerate, delinquent, punk, underachiever, and lost cause are just words people use because they are confused by why you're soaring through life while they're sluggishly inching along. Ignore the labels.

Don't be fooled into thinking that drinking alcohol or taking drugs will make your life any more enjoyable than it is now. These only provide a brief and unhealthy means of enjoyment. Placing too much reliance on alcohol or drugs can lead to addiction, which will ultimately deconstruct your ability to enjoy life.

Live Life to the Fullest

Life is short. So, live it to the fullest! Enjoy all that it has to offer. Let's get started:
1. Seize each day. Live each day as if it's your last. Leave the past behind and do not anticipate the future. Be present to enjoy the moment.
2. Be adventurous. Explore, live on the edge a little and embrace new challenges. Visit new places with your loved ones. Take the road less traveled.

Think of life as beautiful.
3. Keep a journal. Record your accomplishments as well as your delights. Take time to reflect on what has been previously written. Be an inspiration to yourself and others.
4. Love yourself. Focus on your inner and outer beauty to see the same in others. Acceptance comes from within.
5. Love everyone. Love the ones who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Life is too precious to be wasted on waiting for love.
6. Accept everyone. Be kind and courteous. Enjoy the company of others. Acknowledge their goodness rather than the differences in their beliefs.
7. Find purpose in life. Be selfless in service to others. Begin with your neighbor. Do charitable service outside of your immediate community as well.
8. Be realistic. Set attainable goals according to your abilities and talents. Consider each effort to be an attainment. Achieve one step before the other towards stability and security.
9. Seek balance. Understand the night and day, back and forth, good and bad in all things. Focus on good thoughts and good things will happen.
10. Maintain control. Be responsible for your actions and inaction. Be true to yourself. Maintain a personal code in the situation at hand. Find common ground.
11. Listen to your heart and soul. Listen for advice, but be confident in making your own decision. Use your instinct.
12. Clear your mind. Rituals of yoga, meditation and tai chi will replenish and rejuvenate your soul to focus more clearly on serenity and happiness.
13. Be carefree. Desires, obsessions and possessions possess you. Free yourself of inhibitions. Make an active decision to have simple daily needs.
14. Laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. It releases endorphins and promotes longevity. Inner joy is beautiful!
15. Be flexible. Accept change as a positive thing in life. At times, go with the flow that is before you.
16. List a few daily goals. Meet a new friend, swim at the lake or walk in the park. Enhance your day and initiate fun!
17. Appreciate the little things. Take a walk around your community to experience the wonder in a way that you have never experienced it before.
18. Forgive yourself and others. Release your negative energy that holds you back, your past failures, embrace whatever life offers you.
19. Anticipate next day. Everyday is unique, like the blossoming clouds. It's never the same, but always beautiful.
20. Accept death. Pondering death brings appreciation to life. Take time to appreciate the expanse and beauty of your life and our earth. Let go peacefully.
21. Appreciate Environment. Take a break occasionally and go for a walk. Assume that you have come from another planet. Have fresh look at the clouds, the colours of sky at sunset and sunrise. Look at the plants, trees, leaves, flowers and how they swing when wind blows..! Look at water how it shakes and shape itself in the vessel its stored.. Look at numerous forms of life - in insects, animals, birds and human. This exercise will clear off the dead memories and monotony that kills the joy of living.

Be yourself. Disregard gossip, bias and judgmental attitudes. Life is too short to be living with regrets. Let go of your anger and lighten your emotion to prevent illness.

Simplify Your Life

Wish your life could run more smoothly? Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs. Life may never be hassle free, but it can be simplified.

Teach independence. Teach your children and partner to be more responsible for themselves. Free your time. Record your day. Log on a calendar or in a notebook. It takes the time and guess work out of trying to find or remember important information.

Learn to live with less.
* Have a small, but comfortable home.
* Renting enables you to be free to leave without incident.
* Decide upon the fewest versatile possessions.
* Less is more. Less time to earn and take care of things and more spare time to relax.

Have a versatile wardrobe.
* Choose a few basic essentials and styles.
* Mix and match two or three colors.
* Add different tops to black pants or blue jeans.
* You'll spend less time deciding what to wear.
Review the pros and cons. All possessions require a certain amount of your time.

* Children require care and direction throughout the day.
* Dogs may require more care and attention than cats.
* Acquiring bigger and better possessions require more time at work. Create a minimalist budget. Learn to manage your money regardless of your income. Save for the future.

* Pay cash. If you don't have the money, you won't spend it.
* Think before you buy. You may not really need it.
* Save receipts for six months to a year.
* Store receipts in a large envelope or shoe box.
* Keep important receipts with warrantees. Make it easy to find everything.

Keep receipts safe!Save for an emergency. One credit card and $1,000 should be sufficient for an unexpected car or home repair. Find a good physician. Be sure they listen carefully before treatment is prescribed. Request copies of your doctor visits and tests for review.
Your accurate history enables a physician to make a better decision.

At times, alternative treatments may be more beneficial. Maintain your health. Prevent further complications.Choose a healthy diet and exercise daily. Monitor your blood pressure and heart rate at home. Keep a record of comparison for your physician. Avoid smoking, alcohol, drugs and risky behavior.

Prepare quick meals. Find recipes that are quick to prepare. Spend the spare time enjoying the meal and your family. Be yourself. Don't try to be what others want you to be. It's stressful to be anyone other than yourself. Give and return. Some people take without giving in return. Don't try to please others by neglecting yourself. Use your instinct. Don't be easily led. If you feel there is something wrong, there probably is. Limit your worries. Make an active decision to spend less time worrying and more time having fun!Dream your dream. Then live it! Make them come true.

Family Room

Since every family member brings a little of himself to this room, it can often become a jumble of activities and stuff. Create storage for each activity, whether it's reading, playing games, watching TV, paying bills or playing with a pet.

Develop Zone: Be realistic about how everyone uses this room. Give each activity some space of its own. Such agreed-upon zones keep the activity enjoyable and clutter contained.

Control the extras: Entertainment items tend to take over the room. Keep only movies, games ,music and books that you use and that realistically fit on your shelves. Limit yourself to no morethan two issues of a magazine.

Space from thin chair: Create storage behind a couch, love seat or armchair. Pull furniture far enough from the wall to allow open crates or bins, as well as access to them. Furniture pieces such as lift-top ottoman are also ideal for storage strapped room.
