Vegetable Soup from Scratch
A hearty bowl of vegetable soup is a great way to start a meal, or even a great meal by itself! This article will show you the easy way to make a vegetable soup that will have your friends raving.A large can of tomato soup.
Vegetables - onions, carrots, celery, cabbage, corn, etc.
Seasoning - salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc.
Dump one large can of tomato soup in the can of water into a large pot.
Turn it on "high".Turn it on "medium", and start slicing your vegetables into "bite-sized" (half-inch) pieces.Throw each vegetable into the pot as you finish slicing it.Add seasoning, and turn it down to medium or medium-low (just enough to keep it simmering).Simmer for 1 to 2 hours.Taste and adjust seasoning.
If you don't need it to be "vegetarian" you can add meat such as chicken, or use stock in place of the water.
