Throw a Fourth of July Party

If you want to throw a Fourth of July party that people remember for years, just use great fireworks and a bit of your imagination.

Give the invitations at least three weeks ahead. Clean inside and outside of you house; people don't want to come to a dirty house! Chances are that they won't want to stay outside the whole day, so keep some extra chairs in the living room and kitchen. Buy all of the food three days before the party. Some good food to have are; hot dogs, hamburgers, tofu dogs, Garden burgers, chips, pop, red white and blue M&M's, strawberries, Doritos, Ruffles and dip, Frito's and bean dip, Ore's, cookies, brownies, cheesecake, watermelon, and popcorn. Use fireworks! Make sure there are a lot of chairs outside so everybody can sit. Also, have a bucket of water nearby so kids can put their sparklers in or just in case of a firework gone bad. Get some insect repelling candles/lanterns and bug spray. Have a pool or a slip-and-slide. That will keep you cool in the daytime and keep the kiddos busy.

Ask people if they could bring something. Somebody could get chips, somebody else could get the cups and napkins, and somebody else could get plates and pop.
Make sure you have ice! Have sunscreen and insect repellent on a table. Also, have band-aids and burn medicine in case of a minor burn. Make sure that you are allowed to pop fireworks where you live. Some nosy neighbors could call the cops. Keep it All-American. Don't lose track of the historical significance of this day. Remember that our forefathers gave their lives so that we could be free.
Some fireworks could go bad causing a fire or a burn. Make sure it is legal to use fireworks in your area. Neighbors might not like all the noise.
